Dr. Diandra “Dee” Bremond is a gubernatorial appointee serving as the Panel Chair for the Cannabis Control Appeals Panel. Currently, Dr. Dee runs a consulting practice where she provides strategic planning, advisory counsel, curriculum development, outreach and fundraising for non profits, government entities, candidates, and officials. Additionally, she is a lead recruiter for Close the Gap CA where she recruits women to run for the CA legislature.
Formerly, Dr. Dee was an adjunct lecturer in the MSW and DSW programs in the Suzanne Dworak-Peck School of Social Work at the University of Southern California for five years. Prior to these roles, Dr. Dee served as the founding Board President for Crete Academy, a public charter school in South Los Angeles that services at-risk and homeless youth. Additionally, Dr. Dee served as the Director of Trauma-Informed Youth Development for Brotherhood Crusade for nearly seven years. Indeed, Dr. Dee serves on many non-profit boards of directors and advisors, which include leadership positions as President of CA Women Lead, President of Rainbow Labs, Vice President of Strategic Planning for Black Los Angeles Young Democrats, Treasurer of Black Owned and Operated Community Land Trust, and Equality CA Advisory Board.
Dr. Dee is an Emerge California alumnus and a graduate from Pepperdine University where she earned a Master’s of Public Policy and a Doctorate of Education in Organizational Leadership. Dr. Dee’s dissertation and substantive interests are rooted in public policy, innovation, and social justice.
