Can you hear the ROAR?!
It is 2015 and more than ever it is time to rally together to ignite the movement for equal rights and representation for women!
Saturday, August 29th, 2015 the first “National Women’s Equality Day – Silicon Valley” Rally and March will roar through Downtown San Jose!
You don’t want to miss it!
This year is the 95th Anniversary of a women’s right to vote! While women have come a long way towards gender equality since 1920, we are still not there yet. Women and girls still live under constant threat of violence, poverty, inequity, misogyny and sexism.
This inaugural event is being hosted through a collaboration of women organizations and is being spear headed by D.A.W.N (Democratic Activists for Women Now) and champion partners N.W.P.C (National Women’s Political Caucus) of Silicon Valley.
We hope to educate, organize and activate Silicon Valley in efforts to bring greater attention to these inequalities and what we can collectively do about it.
Because feminism isn’t just a woman’s issue!
SO, bring your rally signs, your marching shoes, dress up in theme, or as your favorite SHE-hero!
Let’s rally together all who champion for gender equality and representation as we march side by side for change!
We hope you are available to ROAR with us!
* AFTER PARTY:
D.A.W.N will be having its “Annual Women’s Equality Day – Celebration Party and Fundraiser” at MEZCAL Restaurant immediately following the rally and march, so come continue to celebrate the movement!
