IT TAKES A VILLAGE: Creating a culture of partnership to meet community needs

Here in Santa Cruz County, the past year has seen a fundamentally new commitment to collaboration across all sectors as the means to meet pressing community needs. More than ever before, local governments and public agencies — including law enforcement, courts, health and mental health departments — have joined with non-profits and private sector support to forge new solutions to chronic community issues. Whether we’re talking about health care, housing, food security, treatment, or families and youth, our community is demonstrating a renewed commitment to collaborate in finding the most cost-effective, successful ways of using limited resources for maximum results.

speakers include:

Supervisor Neal Coonerty

Karen Delaney, Executive Director, Santa Cruz Volunteer Center, member, Human Care Alliance

Sarah Emmert, Policy Coordinator, Homeless Services Center
